Maori ServicesMaori staff members provide a comprehensive support service to Maori with disabilities and their whanau in a culturally appropriate manner (eg. by Maori for Maori). The Kaitakawaenga and Kai Awhina will access the Maori community and support individuals and whanau with their issues/needs relating to their disability. This will include the provision of information, advocacy and links to specialists and other service providers. They will also liaise with other organisations including statutory organisations to ensure that they, are being accountable to Maori and sensitive to their needs.
