Home to Home

The Home to Home service has been designed for Parents/guardians/families and whanau so that they take time out from the 24 hour care responsibility that caring for a person with a disability may require.

Home to Home works closely with the consumer and their family to identify and provide the best possible solutions for those involved.  The service aim is to be as flexible and creative as possible.

Home to Home Carers are recruited, screened and linked with families for both ‘in home’ and ‘out of home’ respite. Time is taken to ensure that these carers, consumer and families are compatible and develop rapport before responsibility is transferred.

We provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of placements along with training and support for the carers.

The carers are usually funded by either the Ministry of Health “Carer Support Scheme” or A.C.C..
There is no charge involved when accessing the Home to Home service.
