Support Services
The organisation focuses on providing support and services for children and adults with disabilities and their families / whanau.


Services are Available to:

  • People with disabilities and their family / whanau
  • Individuals who support people with disabilities
  • Voluntary and government agencies who support people with disabilities


Services We Offer:

  • Information – on a range of issues including disabilities, community services available, entitlements, funding, policy …
  • Individual and Family/Whanau Support – via our Whanau Support Staff and Social Workers.
  • Maori Unit - provides support for Maori with disabilities, staff and whanau.
  • Access Advice – on access to community facilities and adapting existing buildings or building new ones.
  • Mobility Parking Permit Scheme – allowing people with mobility difficulties to access their local amenities more easily.
  • “Home To Home” – rural respite service (in the Eastern Bay of Plenty area).
  • “Choices @ Home” – home-based support services (in the Western Bay of Plenty area).
  • “Accomplish: Creative Employment Solutions” – a vocational support service for jobseekers with disabilities (for Western Bay of Plenty area)
  • NZCCS Swim School (Tauranga) – offering inclusive swimming classes for children, and exercise programmes for adults.
  • Training and meeting opportunities for people with disabilities and their families / whanau.
  • Transition from School to Work – a transition partnership with Otumoetai College’ parents and students.
  • Wheelchair Solutions – a partnership with Seating To Go, to provide the Regional Wheelchair and Seating Assessment Services.
  • Total Mobility (Taxi Voucher) Scheme – enabling people to retain their access to their community by providing financial assistance on taxi fares (administered on behalf of Environment BOP).
